La Ronge Chargers football player Robin Louis has cracked a spot on the Saskatoon Hilltops roster for the upcoming season.
Louis received the good news after attending a recent spring camp.
“It was a three-day camp, but it was two-a-day practices, so I had to come well prepared for that,” said Louis. “It was a lot of work. I love the coaches though, so they really told me what I need to work on.”
Making the Hilltops is not the only thing on Louis’s mind right now. The Lac La Ronge Indian Band product will be playing in the Ed Henick Senior Bowl game this coming weekend in Saskatoon.
“I know what I’m capable of, and I know I’ll do a good job in my position, but football is a team game,” said Louis. “I really got to trust my teammates here because we are from all over the province.”
Players are expected to be in Saskatoon Friday to begin preparations for the Senior Bowl contest, which is scheduled for Monday.
