One year after he was shot and killed, Saskatoon police are still looking for who was responsible in the death of Danil Tsannie.

On April 1, 2015, Saskatoon Police say they found the 16-year-old at a residence in the city’s west side. People had found him, fatally injured from a gunshot, laying in the yard.

In the year since, the homicide investigators say they have determined the person or persons responsible for his death were known to him.

Further to that, Saskatoon police say he’d arrived at that residence in the 100 block of Avenue I North after midnight on April 1st, 2015 with the intention of spending the night.

Police say Tsannie was in contact with many people on the night he died, and that one of those people shot him in the early morning hours.

Investigators say they have spoken to many of these people, but believe there are others who have yet to come forward who were in contact with the teen shortly before he died.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
