A Saskatoon Constable has been charged with assault after a physical altercation in Stanley Mission on Friday, April 1.

Stanley Mission RCMP started investigating after a caller from the local health clinic informed them about injuries to an 18-year-old old Stanley Mission woman.

Soon after, the RCMP says they learned off-duty officer Elizabeth Cook had been involved in the fight outside a home in the community.

She was arrested on April 1 and released with conditions.

Cook’s next court appearance in Stanley Mission is more than a month away.

Constable Cook has been suspended with pay, and the RCMP has ordered a code of conduct investigation into her actions.
