Prince Albert police are adding to two names of their people to look out for after a prison escape last week.

Late in the evening of March 30, correctional officers had been transporting Braidy Chase Vermette to hospital after he was injured while in custody when two masked men surrounded them and helped Vermette get away.

Prince Albert Police are revealing that Vermette is a high ranking affiliate with a Prince Albert street gang called “Tax Set.” He’s wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for escaping lawful custody, and is considered armed and dangerous.

Now, police say Vermette might be with his girlfriend Tristen Smith. Smith is a brunette but has recently dyed her hair blond.

Police say Smith has an easily-recognizable tattoo on the right side of her neck that says “Braidy.”

Vermette has a corresponding neck tattoo that says “Tristen.”

Another highly visible mark on Vermette, is a large cut in his right elbow. This is the cut that the Ministry of Corrections believes was self-inflicted, and led to the trip to hospital on March 30.

Police say he could need stitches, meaning he might seek medical attention.

Ricky Favel is the second person police want the public to be on the lookout for. They say he’s one of the suspects in Vermette’s escape.

It’s expected that Vermette, Smith, and Favel had fled the Prince Albert area.

Vermette was being held for the charge of first-degree murder in the death of Troy Cecil Napope.

Both Smith and Favel are currently wanted by the Prince Albert Police for breach of undertaking.
