The second large industrial fire this week has destroyed yet another building in Saskatchewan.

A noon-hour fire in La Ronge on Wednesday burned down a building in the town’s north industrial area. On Monday night, a fire in Saskatoon’s industrial park burned down two buildings owned by a tire recycling plant.

The La Ronge blaze at Lee’s Construction was reported around 12:30 p.m.

Business owner Hugh Watt says he doesn’t know what may have started it.

“It’s fully engulfed in flames. Absolutely no indication at this point. I just came back from lunch and seen smoke coming out the doors and I just called the fire department,” he said.

He says it was being used to store construction equipment like a semi, forklift, and bulldozer.

Watt says it was the first building in that part of town and was built in 1976.

There was no one in the building at the time, and so far there is no estimate of damage.
