The Chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations says he is looking forward to working with the re-elected provincial government.

In a media release, FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron congratulated Premier Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party on their re-election.

“In his acceptance speech the Premier spoke about having the opportunity to serve Saskatchewan,” says Chief Cameron. “We have a number of issues that need the attention of the Premier. The issues need to be made a priority to keep Saskatchewan strong.”

Chief Cameron says he hopes the Premier and his government will work with the FSIN on a number of issues important to the province and First Nations.

The FSIN’s list of priories include housing, education, resource development, poverty reduction, completion of the Treaty Land Entitlement process, Treaty rights to health as well as hunting, fishing and trapping.

Chief Cameron also sent congratulations to Yellow Quill First Nation’s Jennifer Campeau.

Campeau was re-elected in Saskatoon Fairview as a member of the Sask. Party.
