A new seniors housing complex designed for First Nations elders got its grand opening in North Regina this morning.
The two-storey, 26-suite apartment complex offers moderate and low-income suites.
It was funded by the federal and provincial governments and Silver Sage Housing.
Silver Sage Housing chairman, Edmund Bellegarde, says “Sun Lodge is an achievement that honours age old customs of looking after the elderly”.
Silver Sage provided more than $6 million in mortgage financing and cash for the project.
