La Ronge RCMP confirms it’s investigating the killing of someone’s pet dog on one of the area’s Lac La Ronge Indian Band reserves.
The incident was reported to local Mounties late Tuesday afternoon, and Staff Sgt. Richard Price says the complaint came from the pet’s owner.
No other details are available.
The Criminal Code prohibits the killing of an animal without lawful excuse, and the maximum sentence is five years in prison.
