After crews and equipment from the United States helped douse northern Saskatchewan forest fires earlier this summer, the province is doing the same south of the border.

Saskatchewan has sent a team to the United States to help deal with wildfires there.

A bird-dog plane, two air tankers, and a nine-person team are now in Montana.

An Environment spokeswoman says the planes are dropping fire retardant to protect structures and to help suppress the fires.
