Bart Tsannie has been elected to another term as chief of the Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation.

Tsannie received 311 votes in yesterday’s election — roughly 130 votes more than his nearest rival, Ed Benoanie, Sr.

This is Tsannie’s fourth term as chief, but the first time he has been elected to a three-year mandate.

He became chief of the band in in 2009.
