Saskatchewan is getting a new injection of nursing students for the first time ever from Northlands College.
Seven students are convocating from the La Ronge campus, while three are graduating from the Ile-a-la-Crosse location.

New grad Stacy Charles from La Ronge encourages people interested in the program to sign up.

“I definitely recommend it to any northern residents because there is a huge amount of support from Northlands College ad there are small classes,” said Charles

“We are really excited to have ten nursing grads go out into the working force in northern Saskatchewan and snatch up all these jobs for registered nurses we need filling,” said Karla Hardcastle, Manager of University Programming at Northlands College

Students were honored with a celebration Friday in La Ronge.
