The province has announced a 330-thousand dollar investment for an urban First Nations project.

Over the years, First Nations people have moved to the city to seek a better life. What many of them found was a foreign place with all kinds of challenges.

The Saskatoon Tribal Council’s Urban Navigator Project was set up to help with the transition.

Tribal Chief Felix Thomas says First Nations people are more comfortable coming to their own for help.

Thomas says finding affordable housing is the biggest challenge facing First Nations people when they move from the reserve to the city.

Minister responsible Jeremy Harrsion says the 330-thousand-dollars will be spent over the next three years.
