The current mayor of La Loche has been officially nominated as the NDP candidate in the Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River riding.
Georgina Jolibois had announced her intention to seek the nomination earlier in March.
On Saturday, New Democrats in the riding gathered to officially nominate her as their candidate.
With Jolibois’ recent nomination the candidates in the riding are now set.
Former FSIN Chief Lawrence Joseph will be running for the Liberals and MP Rob Clarke will be seeking re-election for the Conservatives.
The upcoming federal election is expected in the fall.
