Two people from the Keeseekoose First Nation are facing several charges — including aggravated assault — after a stabbing on the reserve earlier this week.

Two people were injured Wednesday evening in a disturbance at a home on the reserve.

Around 11 o’clock that night, Kamsack RCMP were called to the residence after getting reports of a stabbing and an assault.

Police say a male victim was taken to hospital with several stab wounds.

A female was also taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Mounties later arrested the suspects at another home on the reserve.

Aside from aggravated assault, 30-year-old Tyson Keshane and 28-year-old Melissa Cote are facing charges that include resisting arrest, armed robbery, break and enter and disguise with intent to commit an offence.

Both suspects are making court appearances in Yorkton today.
