Police say they seized 49 pills believed to be counterfeit OxyContin in a raid on a Prince Albert residence early yesterday.

A 44-year-old Prince Albert man was arrested without incident and is facing numerous charges, including possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

It was just yesterday that city police warned the public about the presence of counterfeit OxyContin.

The joint operation by RCMP and city police also yielded quantities of other drugs, including ecstasy, cocaine and crystal meth.

The suspect will make his first court appearance tomorrow morning.
