RCMP continue to search for a man who escaped from custody last week.
Twenty-one-year-old Solomon Toutsaint was appearing in court in Black Lake on break and enter charges when he escaped police custody on January 21.
While at large, Toutsaint has taunted the police a few times with Facebook posts such as “Catch me if you can, lol” and “Imma a bad boy.”
RCMP Stony Rapids detachment Corporal Jacqueline Spence says police believe the escaped man to still be in the area.
“The Stony Rapids RCMP are actively looking for Solomon Toutsaint. It is a priority for our detachment. We have no reason to believe he is outside of the community right now — and as we have said before in our previous news releases, we believe he is a non-violent offender.”
The Facebook posts have since been removed.
