UPDATE: As of Tuesday afternoon, officials from a number of agencies were at the scene of a fire which destroyed a home yesterday at the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.

Examination of the scene is being done by officials from the Ministry of Government Relations along with the Coroner from Prince Albert.

Shellbrook RCMP say there will be no access to the site as the investigation continues.

A 61-year-old woman and a ten-year-old boy, both from the reserve were believed to be in the home at the time of the fire.

Their names are not being released at the request of the family.

Two men who were also in the home managed to get out and were treated for smoke inhalation.

Investigators say the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
