The Canoe Lake Cree Nation is holding its chief and council election today.
Incumbent chief Robert Opikokew is facing just the one challenger — Francis Iron.
Opikokew has been the chief in Canoe Lake for the last four years.
Twenty-six people are running for six council positions.
The winners will serve a two-year term in office.
