Off-reserve Aboriginal unemployment has dropped slightly in Saskatchewan over the past year but it still remains at 10 per cent, about three times the provincial average.
On the job creation side, this number has increased more than 26 per cent for off-reserve Aboriginals over the past seven years.
Overall provincially, the job numbers look a lot better.
Job creation stood at 3.5 per cent over the past year, the highest in Canada, and unemployment is 3.5 per cent, the lowest in the nation.
Today is the seventh anniversary of the Saskatchewan Party’s 2007 election win.
Since this time, employment has increased by nearly 72,000 thousand jobs in the province.
