The preliminary hearing for the man accused of killing a 24-year-old woman from Sucker River and leaving her body in the bush last year began Wednesday in La Ronge.
Last December, RCMP arrested 28-year-old Ricky Ross following the death of Jodi Roberts.
She had been reported missing on Nov. 6 and her body was found near Sucker River on Nov. 27.
Ross is charged with first-degree murder and has been in custody since he was arrested.
Two days have been set aside for the preliminary hearing.
