Police have confirmed a house fire that claimed the life of a 45-year-old man in Prince Albert last week was accidental.
They say the fire originated on the main floor of the residence and spread to the rest of the house.
After emergency crews had put the blaze out, they discovered the body of Raymond Joseph Carriere inside the home.
Police, fire investigators and the Office of the Chief Coroner were involved in the investigation.
The fire happened on Aug. 18 in the 500-block of 25th Street East.
