SaskTel has announced the completion of a new tower that will provide cellular phone service to the communities of St. Isidore-de-Bellevue, One Arrow First Nation and Batoche.

The new tower will also provide cell service to people attending the annual Back to Batoche Days festival.

SaskTel President and CEO Ron Styles says in a release the Crown corporation has partnered with private companies, such as Huawei Canada, to expand the 4G network and serve 98 per cent of the province’s residents.

The 4G network provides increased bandwidth for both Internet and cellular use.
