The Onion Lake Cree Nation held its chief and council elections Wednesday.
Six candidates were vying for chief including incumbent Wallace Fox.
Those challenging for chief include Tommy Chief, Leo Paul, Tony Stanley, Delores Phyllis Pahtayken and Glen F. Waskewitch.
Five of the seven incumbents on council were also seeking re-election including Joe Dillon, Roy Littlewolfe, Doreen Mason, Leon Whitstone and Walter Pahtayken.
In total, there were 38 candidates running for council.
Voting stations remained open until 8 p.m.
