A 26-year-old man has been handed an 11-year prison term for two shooting-related injuries last year in North Battleford.

Justin Fineday appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court yesterday for sentencing on two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

The first shooting happened on the morning of May 25, 2013 in the 1700 block of 104th Street.

RCMP say a male standing outside a home was shot at by a suspect in a vehicle.

The victim received several wounds and later recovered.

The second shooting happened last fall, shortly before 7 am on September 1.

In that case, a male was shot outside a home on St Laurent Drive.
