A 24-year-old man is dead following a shooting incident in Ile a la Crosse, but police say the death is not being treated as a suspicious.
At around 11:00 last night, RCMP received a call about a distraught man who had been seen headed into a wooded area of the community.
When Mounties arrived, they heard shots fired and cordoned off the area.
Once daylight returned this morning, police found the man’s body in the same wooded area.
His name is not being released.
