A 19 year old man is facing various firearms-related charges after a weekend disturbance at Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

RCMP were called to the reserve around 2:15 Saturday afternoon after receiving a report of a shot being fired.

Police say two men were fighting and a gun was pointed at one of them.

One shot was fired but there were no injuries.

Both men were arrested outside a home and a .22 caliber rifle was seized.

Dustyn Smith from Montreal Lake faces several charges including careless use of a firearm and uttering threats.

He was scheduled to appear in Prince Albert court today.
