North Battleford RCMP are investigating a report of a possible child abduction.
Mounties say it happened on Carlton Trail at about 7:30 last night.
An eight-year-old boy was approached at the aquatic centre by a male who asked that the child go somewhere with him.
The male is alleged to have attempted to grab the child at one point, then left the area in a vehicle.
The suspect has been described as Aboriginal, with a ponytail and glasses — and he was wearing black swim trunks.
The area and building were immediately searched by the RCMP when the report came in, but the suspect wasn’t found.
Surveillance footage was reviewed — but at this point, it hasn’t led to any suspects or additional information.
More surveillance footage is to be reviewed today.
