Police do not believe the shooting of a 17-year-old male in Prince Albert early Monday morning was a random act.

They are calling it a homicide but so far there is no word on suspects or arrests.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired at a home in the 500 block of 27th Street East shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.

The victim was found at the scene and transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Clayton James Bear of Prince Albert.
