Battlefords RCMP are on the lookout for suspects after an early morning armed robbery which may have been a case of mistaken identity.

The incident was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Two men entered a hotel room, pushed one person down and escaped with a few personal items.

Police say one of the men had a knife and it appears they may have broken into the wrong room.

There were three people staying in the room at the time and no injuries were reported.

The suspects are both described as Aboriginal – one about 6’1” and the other around 5 8” tall.

The investigation continues and surveillance footage is being reviewed.
