RCMP have confirmed they will not be pressing criminal charges in the deaths of two seven-month-old twin boys at Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation last year.

On Dec. 9, 2013, police were called to a home on the reserve around 10:30 a.m. after reports that the boys were not breathing.

The infants were taken to the local clinic where they were pronounced dead.

Autopsies were ordered and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit was brought in to assist with the investigation.

Police now say the investigation is complete and the deaths are not considered suspicious.
