A technology conference at the Dakota Dunes casino promises to have some northern flavour to it.
On Monday the Keewatin Career Development Corporation is hosting a major gathering of government officials and industry reps.
The group will be discussing issues like corporate security, internet strategies, remote services and other ways of using technology in the classroom.
Charlotte Ross works with KCDC and is helping organize the conference.
She says the benefits of fibre-optic cable will be discussed as well:
“You could do a lot more with fibre once it’s out to education and health and I know there are certain communities that are also expanding that to include band offices. ”
The conference wraps up on Tuesday.
