The Metis Nation of Saskatchewan launches its youth suicide prevention program this morning in Yorkton.

The Blue Ribbon Campaign launch takes place at 9 a.m. at the Dream Builders Learning Centre on Broadway Street West.

As part of the event, blue ribbon training manuals and tool kits will be distributed so others can go out into various

Saskatchewan communities and raise awareness about youth suicide prevention.

MNS President Robert Doucette says in a release, “The Blue Ribbon Campaign has been designed to encourage Metis communities to take ownership and control over suicide prevention and intervention.”

A train-the-trainer session begins at 10 a.m. at the same location.
