North Battleford RCMP have charged a 69 year-old man from Prince Albert with eight counts of indecent assault.

Police say the charges follow a lengthy investigation into allegations dating back to 1964.

They involved at least eight victims and are alleged to have occurred at the Moosomin First Nation’s Day School.

The suspect, whose name has not been released was a teacher at the school.

Investigators say the allegations were initially reported to North Battleford RCMP in January of 2008.

The accused will be making his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on December 23.
