The family of a 24 year-old La Ronge area woman is trying to come to terms with her death.

Jodi Roberts, a mother of two, was reported missing November the 6th.

Yesterday, her body was found not far from the home in Sucker River where she was last seen.

Jodi’s sister, Jerilee Roberts-Collins, says she had a gut feeling her sister would not be found alive.

She says the family is still in a daze, but at least they know something.

She says Jodi’s three year old son calls out for his mother a lot,  and her one year daughter will never get to know who her mother was.

Jerilee says it is a tragic loss .

“She was outgoing, fun, loving, she just absolutely loved life.”

Jerilee says while the RCMP  have not yet made a positive identification, family has been told by band members that the body is that of Jodi Roberts.

Jerilee is asking anyone who has information to come forward.

“If somebody out there knows anything,  please come forward,  help us put closure to this,  let’s put it to rest.”

Jerilee Roberts-Collins also wanted to express her gratitude to the Lac La Ronge Indian Band for the compassion and support it has shown during this ordeal for the family.

“It has been incredible, it has been amazing how the community has come together.   When something like this happens we as a community were strong.”

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Saskatoon.

RCMP are expected to confirm the identity of the deceased at that time,  they are also hoping to learn a cause of death.

For the family, the process of grieving is just beginning,  and final closure is still a long way off.
