Well it took longer than many people expected but a new vice-chief has been elected at the Saskatoon Tribal Council.
Last night Mark Arcand unseated the incumbent, Geraldine Arcand, to win the title.
Mark Arcand is a member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and spent six years as the group’s labour force development partnership manager.
He defeated four other fellow challengers in the election which took multiple ballots to decide.
