A 15-year-old boy from Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation is facing several charges after employees at a school in Duck Lake received threats.

Rosthern RCMP say shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, police received a call that a student had threatened to shoot three staff members at Stobart Community School.

The school was locked down, although most students had already left for the day.

Police arrived around 4:30 p.m. and searched the school.

Shortly after, the youth was located and arrested near the health clinic on the reserve.

He is charged with three counts of uttering threats and mischief.

There were no injuries and the youth appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court this morning.
