Pelican Narrows RCMP are investigating the disappearance of a 53-year-old man who they believe has likely drowned.
Police say Gabriel Ballantyne of Pelican Narrows was reported missing on Sept. 25.
The incident was initially reported to Creighton RCMP as it was believed to have happened on Granite Lake.
Investigators later learned that Ballantyne and another man from Pelican Narrows were moose hunting near Wildnest Lake.
Both were in a canoe that sank on Sept. 18 and the second person was able to swim to shore.
The RCMP underwater recovery team will also be assisting in the search.
