Chief Roger Redman and six band councillors were sworn in this morning on the Standing Buffalo first nation in the Qu’Appelle valley about 80 kilometers
northeast of Regina.
They were elected to new terms following an election on Friday.
Accountability and spending were the main issues in the campaign.
The chief has come under fire in the past for the salary and expenses being racked up by elected representatives.
Despite the controversy he defeated three challengers and was re-elected.
