The Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region has identified several areas of improvement to be worked on over the next year.
CEO Andrew McLetchie says they basically align with goals already set out by the province.
McLetchie says one goal is to improve access at the La Ronge Medical Clinic:
“Basically, the health region will be working with La Ronge Medical Clinic to try and look at the processes they use for booking appointments and at how the patients access services, to see if there’s ways we can improve the timeliness of getting an appointment as well as the barriers that are there potentially in booking appointments.”
Other areas of focus will be to ensure a positive work environment for health care workers and increasing HIV testing.
