Preparations are underway for this year’s edition of the Relay For Life in La Ronge.
The fund raising walk for the Canadian Cancer Society takes place May 31st and June 1st at the Mel Heglund Uniplex.
Interested teams have until April 30 to register.
Organizer Deb Thome says so far this year the number of teams involved is down, but the overall number of walkers is up.
The event begins with a Survivor’s Banquet, the opening ceremony at 7:00, the Survivor’s Victory Walk, the Luminary Ceremony at 9:30 and the walk itself which continues until 7:00 Saturday morning.
There will be entertainment, food and games throughout the evening and morning.
It is a free family event and everyone is invited to attend.
