A Big River man is the second biggest lottery winner in Saskatchewan’s history.

It was announced Friday that 59-year-old David Chaykowski is the $30 million Lotto Max ticket winner from the March 8th draw – a ticket he purchased at the Big River Co-op.

The mild mannered Chaykowski says he realized he had the winning ticket on Sunday and the huge win certainly brings an immediate sense of relief from some of the other financial pressures in his life.

Chaykowski says he plans to quit his job as an industrial mechanic at the Meadow Lake OSB mill effective today.
