Prime Minister Stephen Harper was in Saskatoon for a number of functions yesterday and one of them was an economic consultation with a group of First Nations leaders.

The Prime Minister met with Acting SIIT President Ray Ahenakew, Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs Executive Director Neil Sasakamoose and chiefs Darcy Bear of Whitecap Dakota First Nation, Reginald Bellerose of Muskowekwan First Nation and Clifford Tawpisin Jr. of Muskeg Lake Cree Nation

The Prime Minister says in a release that the government continues to be committed to creating jobs, growth, long-term prosperity and promoting independence in Aboriginal communities.

This is one of several economic consultations the Prime Minister has been participating in around the country.
