An Indigenous stop motion animated television series is being nominated for yet another award.
Wapos Bay has already received four national awards and series producers Dennis and Melanie Jackson have been nominated for Best Writing in a Children’s Program by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
Dennis Jackson says it is nice to see the show’s final installment – Long Goodbyes – receiving recognition.
“Well I’m just ecstatic for my wife, it’s her first writing nomination, it’s good to get nominated for sure,” he says.
Wapos Bay is produced out of Saskatoon and the awards ceremony takes place this Thursday in Toronto.
