The search is on for two missing inmates who disappeared from a healing lodge on the Beardy’s and Okemasis reserve, near Prince Albert.
Early yesterday morning, Royce Bear, 31, and Brandon White, 23, were discovered missing when they failed to show up for a headcount at the Willow Cree Healing Lodge.
Warrants have since been issued for their arrest and authorities are turning to the public for help.
Bear is six feet and three inches tall, 278 pounds and has tattoos on his hands and arms.
White is five feet and eight inches tall, 135 pounds and has tattoos on his right hand and arm.
Bear is serving a sentence of just under six years for assault with a weapon and manslaughter.
White is serving an eight-year sentence for manslaughter with a firearm.
Both are deemed a low-risk to re-offend.
Corrections Service of Canada and RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating the two inmates.
Anyone with information on either man is asked to contact police.
