The provincial government is setting up victim services units in Meadow Lake and the Battlefords.

The province is hiring four people to staff the offices which will cater to children and other vulnerable witnesses who have to testify in court.

In a release, Justice Minister Gord Wyant says the government is pleased to offer the services.

He notes a critical part of the healing process is to provide timely care to victims.

Workers from the Meadow Lake office will also be traveling to various First Nations in the region to help out community members.
