A northern Saskatchewan MLA has decided to back Trent Wotherspoon’s bid to become NDP leader.
Athabasca MLA Buckley Belanger says he’s confident Wotherspoon understands the issues facing people in the north.
He adds Wotherspoon is a very approachable guy which is an important quality in a leader.
The northern MLA says all four candidates in this year’s campaign have a lot of skill but Wotherspoon is well organized, hard-working and the person he wants to see leading the party
Other candidates in the race include Ryan Meili, Erin Weir and Cam Broten.
A vote will be held on Mar. 9.
