A search for a missing man in Sandy Bay has ended in tragedy.
RCMP have confirmed today that the body of 38-year-old Darcy Merasty was found on Friday afternoon.
An exhaustive door-to-door search was made last week for Merasty after he disappeared Tuesday night.
He was last seen leaving a residence in Sandy Bay at about midnight that evening.
So far, RCMP are not saying how the man died — only that an autopsy is scheduled and an investigation is underway.
