The search for a missing First Nations woman has ended in tragedy.

Regina police have confirmed the body found in a house last Friday is that of Tara Chartrand.

The 30-year-old woman was last seen alive on Sept. 28 leaving her home on Rae Street.

Her body was discovered in a house on the 1100 block of Cameron Street.

Police say they received a phone call on Friday night that a body had been found inside the home.

The death is being ruled a homicide.

A suspect in the killing has been identified, however no charges have been laid as of yet.
