Police in Prince Albert are reporting that a man shortly after being in their custody.
The Police Service says it was Thursday morning around 9:00 a.m. that paramedics were called to help a prisoner in distress.
The adult male was taken to hospital but passed away a short time later.
The incident is under investigation and an autopsy has been scheduled.
The man had been taken into custody a few hours earlier after a complaint from hospital security.
So far the name of the deceased has not been released.
