Two male youths have been arrested in connection to an apparent double murder west of Meadow Lake.
The two male suspects appeared in a Prince Albert courtroom this morning on charges of first-degree murder.
The first youth was arrested by police officers in Prince Albert after being spotted near a school with a firearm.
The second suspect was also picked up by city police.
Hours later, Mounties discovered the bodies of a man and a woman inside a rural home near Rapid View.
Autopsies are expected to be performed on the bodies today and tomorrow.
The youths are due back in court in Meadow Lake on Monday.
The names of the victims will not be released after Crown prosecutors successfully applied for a publication ban to protect the identity of the young suspects.
